Housing Adaptation Grant
The Housing Adaptation Grant for Disabled People provides up to €40,000 to help adapt a home for a person with a physical, sensory, mental health, or intellectual disability.

Maximum amount: €40,000 or up to 100% of the approved cost of the works (whichever is less).

Administration: Managed by your local authority (city or county council).

Income limit: No grant is paid if the total household income is over €75,000 per year after specific deductions. The grant amount is means-tested on a sliding scale between 30% and 100% based on gross household income.
